Sliding Compound Miter Saw

The best tools are always needed if you want to make your work perfect. Woodworking and carpentry are both an art and a necessity. As a professional, you may want to use only the best sliding compound miter saw to add the finishing touches to your masterpiece.

The sliding compound miter saw has made a big difference in carpentry and wood working. Using one will save you from the hassle of bringing and/or using bulky and heavy equipment such as the radial arms saws. Large cuts are even made possible and easier for you. If you are interested in wood working and you want to learn how to use the sliding compound miter saw, below are the basic steps in how to operate one:

  1. Make sure that the surface is stable and adjusted to a height that’s comfortable for you. Make enough space for your work piece and the slide mechanism. Plug the equipment in.
  2. Release the head of the saw from its resting position.
  3. You can adjust the bevel angle by tightening or loosening the knob or lever. The next thing that you need to adjust is the tightness of the saw’s head.
  4. Move the lever or knob and set your desired miter angle. The bevel setting is easy to adjust since there is a scale available that lets you know (in degrees) the angle of your cut.
  5. Place the piece that you are working on, on the surface of your saw table and hold it tightly. Your hand shouldn’t be within 6 inches of the blade so if the work piece is too short, clamp it in place.
  6. Make your cut by pulling the head of the saw to your direction. After wards, release the trigger and the head as you turn it off.
  7. Make sure that the blade stops spinning before you retrieve your work piece.
